“Christmas Open House”

Christmas Open House became a place where many people encountered the true meaning of Christmas for the very first time.

Throughout December, the house was filled with laughter, conversation, and moments of quiet reflection. People of all ages—children, parents, and even elderly visitors—walked through our doors and were welcomed with Christmas chocolate and cake. Many stayed longer than they planned, enjoying the warmth of the space and the chance to connect with others. Through simple craft activities, visitors created handmade gifts for their loved ones, often sharing stories and building new friendships along the way.

In a second session, we invited guests to reflect more deeply on the story of Christmas. Through a series of paintings created by our volunteers, we shared the biblical story—from the promise given to Mary to Simeon’s prophecy that Jesus would be a light for all nations. These moments opened the door for honest and meaningful conversations.

For many visitors, this was their first real exposure to the true meaning of Christmas. Most came from different worldviews, primarily Muslim backgrounds, and had never celebrated Christmas before. Several expressed curiosity, asked thoughtful questions, and showed genuine interest in learning more about Jesus. This allowed us to share the gospel and invite those who were interested to church and Bible study.

As visitors left, each received a small gift: a Christmas mug, a bookmark with a Bible verse, a book by Kaon on reasons to believe, and a flyer outlining the story of the Bible. What seemed like a simple gesture often became a meaningful reminder of what they had experienced.

Over three weeks, around 100 people visited Christmas House. We are deeply thankful for how God used this project to open hearts, create relationships, and reveal the true meaning of Christmas and we look forward to continuing this initiative next year.
