Following our public event at Plaza Hotel, we organized a weekend retreat in Durrës with a diverse group of participants: students from our apologetics course, non-believers, and Christian friends.
This retreat marked the conclusion of our apologetics course, with the central theme:
“What Is the Gospel?”
Over the weekend, 36 people attended and took part in four deep, gospel-centered sessions led by Erin Darden, Chris Darden, Jeff Steffen, and Danjela Serjani.
Session Topics
-
Creation – God’s original design for humanity
-
The Catastrophic Fall – How sin broke our relationship with God
-
The Plan of Redemption – Foretold by the prophets and fulfilled in Jesus
-
The New Creation – The eternal hope for those who believe
Each session was followed by small group discussions, where both believers and skeptics engaged in honest dialogue. Some of the most meaningful conversations came from non-Christian participants, who asked questions like:
-
What does it really mean to live eternally with (or without) God?
-
Why did Jesus have to die?
-
Can we trust the Bible in this story?
A Joyful Ending: Baptisms
The retreat concluded on Sunday morning with a baptism ceremony led by our local church. It was a powerful moment as four students publicly declared their faith in Christ:
-
Megi
-
Rexhina
-
Gerald
-
Darlin
Please keep these new believers in your prayers, and pray also for those still asking big questions. This weekend was a clear reminder that God is working deeply in hearts—through truth, through relationships, and through His Spirit.
