March Retreat from Students of the Apologetic Course

As you know, one key part of our ministry is equipping Christian believers in Albania with the knowledge and confidence to defend their faith through apologetics. To pursue this vision, we launched our Apologetics Course in October.

So far, around 20 students have registered and committed to the course. Each student completes one lesson per month through our online platform apologjetika.ifce.al, researches a topic of their choice, and presents it to the group during our monthly in-person gatherings.

Last month, we decided to gather at a beautiful place near Tirana called Eden Park to allow more time for fellowship and deep discussions. It was a refreshing day spent connecting more deeply as a community and hearing presentations from two students: Elton and Megi.

Elton did an excellent job presenting the fine-tuning argument for the existence of God. What stood out was the Rare Earth Argument, which claims that, for a planet to support human life, a vast number of conditions must be precisely met. The probability of all these factors aligning is so small that it points strongly toward intentional design. While life forms may exist elsewhere, nothing compares to the life-permitting uniqueness of Earth.

Megi explored the relationship between philosophy and apologetics, offering a beautiful summary of how philosophers—from Aristotle to postmodern thinkers and Kierkegaard—have approached the idea of God. Her work helped the group understand how different worldviews have shaped generations and how apologetics engages them thoughtfully.
