“The Universe: Has It Always Existed, or Did It Have a Beginning?”

On November 23rd, we hosted our monthly event, focusing on the topic: “The Universe: Has It Always Existed, or Did It Have a Beginning?” This month, we were honored to welcome a special guest, Alanzo Paul, from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA).

Alanzo Paul delivered an insightful talk on the cosmological argument for the existence of God, emphasizing the profound question: Why is there something rather than nothing? He explained how God is the most logical explanation for the universe’s beginning, in alignment with the Big Bang theory and recent scientific discoveries.

Alanzo also shared his personal testimony and the good news of Jesus, extending an invitation to the audience to accept Jesus as their Savior. The event drew approximately 70 attendees, exceeding the number of pre-registrations.

During the Q&A session, participants had the opportunity to engage with thought-provoking questions, such as: Where does God live? Does God really exist? and whether evolution could explain the existence of life. Alanzo thoughtfully addressed these queries, clarifying that while evolution and other theories might explain how life develops, they do not address the deeper question of why it exists.

The audience was deeply engaged, with many staying after the event to continue meaningful conversations on these topics. Please pray that we can follow up with attendees individually, answering their questions with humility and compassion.
